How do we organise the un-organised? How often do we see people playing or participating in our sports that does not have an immediate connection back to our organised activities? How many people that run on a daily basis have engaged with an athletics club? What involvement should a local Club have on a game of ‘pick-up’? It is time for us as a sector to ask serious questions about if we should even be involved with un-organised sport!

Panel MC Ali Clarke will discuss ‘organising the un-organised’ with Rob Fletcher (Team App), Carmel Guerra (CMY), Peter Kenyon (Bank of I.D.E.A.S). How can technology like Team App be used to organise ‘pick-up games’ without taking over? Do un-organised activities in multicultural communities need to be connected to their State Sporting body and has it ever been successful? Do we need to see a radical change to how sport is governed or managed to engage new participants?
